September is almost over and people are starting to see the population shift in Palm Beach County Florida.  The malls are emptier during the days thanks to school being in session… but the restaurants are busier at night thanks to people starting to relocate down here to avoid the harsh Northern Winters.

At retail stores, steakhouses, tourist attractions and beach-side hotels from Boca Raton to Boynton Beach to Lake Worth and West Palm Beach, everyone is screaming:

The Snowbirds are coming! The Snowbirds are coming!

While many of the younger Snowbirds (people that come down for winter) and Snowflakes (still working and only coming down for a few days at a time year round) are not sure they want to be in an Over-55 community or Active Adult community just yet - they think they’ll be the spring chicken in the coop - they’re finding that the resort-like amenities that most Over-55 and Active Adult communities are relieving their Gas Pains…

HUH?

Yes… when there are pools, fitness centers, cafes, restaurants, tennis, racquetball, movies, broadway shows, live entertainers, dinner parties etc at the fabulously decorated clubhouses, these new Seasonal Residents of South Florida are finding they are not driving at much and are therefore being spared the pain at the pump that they would feel if they had chosen a more remote or all-ages community!

For instance, Valencia Pointe, Valencia Lakes, Valencia Falls, Valencia Palms, Valencia Shores, and Valencia Isles (Valencia #7 will start pre-selling in December so call NOW for me to email you a reservation form!) all have a Deli in their clubhouses - and some are even Flakowitz/Pleckners!!  You can get a great Corned Beef, Pastrami, or Turkey sandwich (among other things) and save the drive down to their Boynton Beach location on Hagen Ranch and Boynton Beach Blvd.

• At Bellaggio and Villaggio, Movie night hosts great movies for just $1 including your popcorn and sodas!
• Cascade Lakes has an Indoor/Outdoor resort spa so even in the rare Cold Florida Winter there are Water-aerobics!
• At Majestic Isles even in the off season residents converge on the clubhouse for Canasta, Mahjong and Poker (only chips!) after dinner…
• At Aberdeen, you can golf inside the community!
• At Venetian Isles, there is a resistance pool that you can even use for physical therapy and a huge auditorium for lectures and shows…
• and that’s not even counting all the "Walk to Worship" communities!!!

So as you can see, all the Over-55 clubs have plenty of things to do that can help their residents enjoy their homes in Boynton Beach and Lake Worth Florida without having to experience pain at the pump!  Come Season, when the snowbirds fly down… there will be even more shows, movies, clubs, crafts and activities!
