Pollo Campero - translated from Spanish - means “County Chicken”… this restaurant is the Latin American version of Kentucky Fried Chicken. The menu varies from KFC in that they offer plantains (patacones), rice and beans (arroz con frijoles), flan and other traditional Latin American dishes.
Some menu items are:
Pollo Campero: Fresh chicken, marinated with exclusive flavors and slowly prepared to ensure a delicious taste…..chicken that is tender, juicy and crunchy.
Rotisserie chicken – marinated with special seasonings and a secret formula, and than baked in rotisserie ovens, resulting in chicken with excellent flavor, texture, and juiciness….
Campero Beans, made from juicy pinto beans mixed in a rich combination of bacon, sausage, tomato, onion and flavorsome seasonings, have become a must have.
Spicy Rice, combination of seasoned rice and vegetables
The interesting thing to this writer is the location… the new destination of Boynton Town Center will drive in lots of traffic… but the direct competition of a Kentucky Fried Chicken 2 blocks South, a Boston Market 6 blocks North and a Pollo Tropical 8 Blocks North will definitely create a stir in Boynton Beach Florida for chicken lovers!

Wow!! Boynton Beach is so lucky. Pollo Campero is the best chicken in the world. Way better than the comparison to KFC. There’s actually no comparison at all. I’m coming to visit Boynton Beach in January. I will be sure to stop by Campero while I’m there.
